Castle of Chambord
Castles of the Loire Valley: Several castles are less than 15 minutes away from our Guest House. For instance, the Chamerolles castle will let you discover the history of perfumes from the medieval ages to nowadays while the Sully-sur-Loire castle, a medieval fortress. From our Guest House, you can also easily go visit the very famous castles of Chambord and Cheverny which are just a bit further away.
Religious buildings: Our Bed & Breakfast is near several remarkable religious buildings. Among what you should see, keep some free time for the Cathedral of Orleans, and the Abbey of St-Benoît-sur-Loire.

Parks and gardens: While staying at La Demeure des Détectives, you may want to take some time to discover some of the most beautiful parks and gardens of the area. If so, you could go visit the Grandes Bruyères Arboretum, home of more than 500 varieties of plants on about 12 hectares. You may also go visit the Floral Park of la Source with its beautiful collections of roses.
Rivers and canals: The Loire river lays only a few kilometres south from our Guest House. You may choose to discover it by foot, by bike, by boat or even by horse. The most outstanding point of the Loire is probably the "Briare pont-canal". Constructed 120 years ago, it remained during over a century the biggest bridge-canal of the world.

Cities and museums: There are several towns you should visit while staying at our Bed & Breakfast. Of course Orleans, with its beautiful historical city center and its Beaux-Arts and Natural Sciences museums. There are also a few other beautiful small towns along the Loire river, such as Gien and Beaugency.
